Los Blancos will go into Tuesday’s matchat the Santiago Bernabeu  2-0 down on aggregate, and Ronaldo has highlighted the importance of pleasing the Spanish giants’ fans.

“We need to have cold hearts and play with patience, and know how to suffer,” he told the club’s official website.

“Getting through is our big objective, it’s the only thing that will let the players and fans leave the stadium happy.”

Defender Dani Carvajal also commented on the upcoming clash, revealing Real’s intention to thrash the German side.

“Tuesday will be like a war, with 80 000 spectators; we are going to try and walk all over Wolfsburg,” he added.

The Madrid club beat Eibar 4-0 at the weekend, courtesy of strikes from James Rodriguez, Lucas Vazquez, Ronaldo and Jese.

CRISTIANO RONALDO will reportedly be available this summer for a staggeringly low fee

April 6, 2016
Ronaldo is thought to be considering an exit from Real Madrid at the end of the season.

Express Sport understands both Paris Saint-Germain and his former club Manchester Unitedare in the running for his signature.

And Spanish publication Sport say he will be available for just £48million.

Ronaldo arrived at the Bernabeu in 2009 after scoring 118 goals in 292 appearances for United.

But the Portuguese star isn’t expected to be sold for anywhere near that fee, with his re-sale value considered to not be very strong.

And as his current contract runs out in 2018, the Spanish giants want to cash in on the Portugal captain before his value is slashed next summer.

Ronaldo already has 42 goals to his name this term, and scored the winning goal in El Clasico against Barcelona on Saturday.

Barcelona 1 Real Madrid 2: Cristiano Ronaldo grabs late winner for 10-man Real in Clasico

 Barcelona 1 (Pique 56′) – 2 (Benzema 62′, Ronaldo 85′) Real Madrid

Match report

Real Madrid battled back from a goal down to end Barcelona’s unbeaten run in a tense Clasico on Saturday evening.

Cristiano Ronaldo grabbed an 85th minute winner for his side as Luis Enrique’s men were unable to beat a Real Madrid reduced to 10 men, after Sergio Ramos was sent off for two bookable offences.

A tentative first 45 minutes ended goalless with Barcelona enjoying the majority of possession. Real were set out in a far more rigid defensive style than we have seen from them this season and the home side found it difficult to carve open opportunities, though Luis Suarez was guilty of missing a golden chance early on.

Pique scores for Barcelona

It took until the 56th minute for Gerard Pique to open the scoring, losing his marker, Pepe, at a corner and powering a header into the bottom corner of Keylor Navas’ goal.

Real responded almost immediately, Marcelo making a rare venture outside the confines of his position at left-back and going on a marauding run down the wing, leaving static Barca players behind as he surged forwards. The ball was released by the box, the cross took a wicked deflection and fell above the head of Karim Benzema, who adjusted his body and scored with an acrobatic volley.

Benzema goal vs Barcelona

Real sat back, marshaled by a brilliant Casemiro, and invited Barcelona to attack them, looking to spring attacks on the counter. But as Lionel Messi dropped deeper and deeper to try and get involved, so Real took a stronger hold of the game.

May 10, 2011

Cristiano Ronaldo’s girlfriend, Irina Shayk has had one heck of a career boost since she started dating the soccer star.

Don’t get me wrong, she is one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen, but no one really knew who she was last year.

Happy Birthday CRISTINO 25years ♣

February 5, 2010

WE can win without cristiano ronaldo.

Real Madrid will look to build on last weekend’s morale-boosting victory over Deportivo La Coruna with an 11th successive home win on Saturday when they welcome Espanyol to the Bernabeu.

Madrid had not won at the Riazor in almost two decades and with an absentee list that included seven senior players and led to four youngsters from the reserves being named on the bench, they had it all to do not to fall eight points adrift of leaders Barcelona.

However, Madrid produced one of their best performances of the season to down Depor 3-1 and keep within touching distance of their arch rivals.

More good news for Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini comes with the potential return to action of midfielders Lassana Diarra and Rafael van der Vaart after injury for the visit of Espanyol, although Cristiano Ronaldo is again set to be missing as, unless the Spanish giants win their appeal, he will serve the second match of his two-game ban.

Madrid badly felt Ronaldo’s loss when the £80million man missed two months earlier this season through injury, but they proved against Depor that they are not reliant on the former Manchester United winger.

Defender Raul Albiol said: “You cannot depend on one player. Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best in the world, but we are a team.

“We have a lot of players in this squad and, despite the absences, we’ve shown that whoever plays we will be at the same level. The team is capable of winning with or without Ronaldo.”

Whilst Madrid will be looking to put one over Barcelona’s city rivals this weekend, Pellegrini’s men will also be hoping their neighbours Getafe can do them a favour when they take on Pep Guardiola’s side.

Getafe suffered a setback last night when they went down 2-0 to Sevilla in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final, but they have not lost on their last two trips to the Nou Camp.

Barca, for whom midfielder Andres Iniesta is set to make his 200th league appearance for the club, are still unbeaten in La Liga this season, though, and have won their last five league and cup games without conceding a goal.

Elsewhere this weekend, two clubs will be under the leadership of new coaches with ninth-placed Villarreal and 17th-placed Real Valladolid both having made changes following last weekend’s matches.

Villarreal replaced Ernesto Valverde with Juan Carlos Garrido and the former reserve team coach faces a daunting first game in the hotseat as the Yellow Submarine go to a Real Mallorca side who have won all nine of their home matches to date.

New Valladolid boss Onesimo Sanchez, who took over from Jose Luis Mendilibar, also faces a baptism of fire as his struggling team are away to third-placed Valencia.

Bottom club Xerez go to Athletic Bilbao with renewed hope following their 2-1 win over Mallorca, although they are still six points adrift at the foot of the standings.

The two other teams in the relegation zone, Tenerife and Real Zaragoza, face Osasuna and Sevilla, respectively.

At El Sardinero, stuttering Atletico Madrid face in-form Racing Santander for the second of three meetings with the Cantabrian side in a week. The two sides also face each other in the Copa del Rey semi-finals, with the first leg being played tonight.

Also, Sporting Gijon go to Almeria and Malaga host Deportivo La Coruna.
