Cristiano Ronaldo enjoys some downtime with his son prior to El Clasico

April 2, 2016

Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid face a highly-anticipated visit to the Nou Camp to face arch-rivals Barcelona in a La Liga El Clasico on Saturday evening.

However, with a mere 24 hours away to one of his team’s biggest clashes of the season, Real talisman Cristiano Ronaldo took to Instagram to upload two photographs of himself enjoying some father/son-time with Cristiano Ronaldo Jr.

The first snap saw the Portuguese maestro, sporting a purple baseball cap backwards, take a selfie with his 5-year-old child while sitting by a lake, with the description: ‘Relaxing and giving food.’

The second depicted the two Cristianos smiling and pointing at each other as they stood outside their house having returned home, with the 31-year-old posting five hearts in the caption.

Earlier in the day, Ronaldo and his team-mates were pictured enjoying an intense training session at Los Blancos’ Valdebebas base.

Real are bidding to close the gap on Luis Enrique’s table-toppers at the Nou Camp, with Zidane’s side sitting in third position in the Spanish top tier, with 66 points from 30 games played.

A victory for the hosts would see them extend their current 10-point lead over Real and they are sure to be full of confidence following their 4-0 demolition job at the Santiago Bernabeu in November.

Ronaldo, who has scored 41 times in 38 appearances for Real in all competitions this season (28 in 30 in La Liga), netted on his last outing in the league as his team thrashed Sevilla 4-0 at home.
